I got Ls6 heads stock, a g5x4 cam, and stock pistons. The heads are not milled, ported, or deck'd. They are stock. The pushrods I bought from Trick Flow on the Tick Performance website and the pushrods are harden. The spec of the pushrods are 7.400 and .080. But the piston is kissing the valve. The springs on the Ls6 heads are aftermarket handling up to .650 lift. Can someone diagnose the problem???Thank in advance and your response will be GREATLY appriciated. Antonio.

you might need to go back to the dot to dot part make sure they are perfectly straight up and down when you line them up and then turn it over by hand one time and make sure they line up again at the right point if it is off even a little it could cause this

Ive got the same cam but im still using my LS1 heads. If the heads are milled, thinner head gasket or etc.. then youll run into the ptv issues. As long as your using stock head gaskets, re check the cam timing.

You need to go to GM, and get a set of "MLS" head gaskets. Just ask for head gaskets for a 2002 Camaro Z28 and they should sell them to you. Or buy them from a distributor/sponsor---> I prefer Speed Engineering.
Don't run crappy auto-parts stores version of head gaskets, and make sure you get a new set of bolts. They are stretch-to-yield. Once they are used once, they will never work again(as you already know now).

I have g5x4 and stock heads. Installed mine dot to dot and no problems. PTVC is very close tho. Im pretty sure valve drop between ls1 and ls2/ls6 is pretty much the same. You must be off a tooth or you have the wrong head gasket.
