MTI 434ci C5R - Colonel's Engine

I have no idea but I trust they know what they're doing. So, you think their position is bad for drivability? (Not that it's really much of a concern.) I expect the engine to drive and idle just fine for my purposes. The DFI system should really help with that.

I have never converted an intake colonel and actually had mine converted for me.
BUT
every photo i've seen of a large tunnel ram type intake has never had the injector bungs being that big and high up in the port. Maybe it is the proper way because of the giant ports of the C5-R heads i dont know....
What is the runner length on those - doesn't look like it could be more than 6".
I'm sure at a very high RPM they do their trick.
That is possibly the sweetest motor I have ever seen. Now what would really put it over the top is a nice TT setup or even just a single turbo and a big one at that. Might have to drop the compression just a hair though
Can I get a ride??

My question is the fuel system. Is the supply line feeding the regulator? All of the diagrams I've seen lately show the regulator after the rails hooked directly to the return line? Are you feeding the rails from the rear or whats done to have it on the supply side?
I can't wait for that video
LAter
Checkin' out my handy dandy gear calculator...150 MPH comes out to be 8618 RPM with 30" tires. Make 'em 30.5" to account for tire growth and we get 8477. Factor in another %5 for converter slippage and we get 8923 RPM.

Good job guy's, I wish I had the Colonel's pocket book!!!!!!
OR perhaps a nice carb-style single plane and huge 1500+ cfm 4-hole TB. by then we're probably talking more bore, more stroke, and a bigger solid roller.

I'm too much a cheap bastard to get one o them thar fancy sheetmetal thingies that goes on top of the moter.
Stephen,
Engine looks great! I'm very interested to see what you can do with this once its sorted out.. My next project I have is to put together an 8 second NA Engine, but then again I'll be backdating to a Rodeck or Donovon Aluminum Gen1 SBC, with some *serious* heads.
Good luck!

The supply line is that gigantor line coming from the back, and feeding in under the intake plenum. There is a dividing block underneath that seends a line to each rail. Return line feeds off the front to the regulator.
As it has been said before... Mike, and the guys at MTI do some badass work.
The most impressive thing to me is the FAST system. Last I talked to Mike he was in the middle of handwiring the harness to make a standalone FAST system...a piggyback system. I've been known to tear into some **** on my car but that task was just.... .
Looking forward to seeing you again Colonel!
