O well, I thought they were custom engraved. I was thinking about getting "Trans Am" the way it is on the side of the door.

BUT

every photo i've seen of a large tunnel ram type intake has never had the injector bungs being that big and high up in the port. Maybe it is the proper way because of the giant ports of the C5-R heads i dont know....

The runners could always flare out and "cross over" in the large plenum - ala carbon fibre C5R intake, to give more bottom end punch.

What is the runner length on those - doesn't look like it could be more than 6".

I'm sure at a very high RPM they do their trick.

That looks just like the engine in my car except I went with the carbon fiber intake --- oh wait, I just realized that was a dream and I am now awake....how dissapointing.

That is possibly the sweetest motor I have ever seen. Now what would really put it over the top is a nice TT setup or even just a single turbo and a big one at that. Might have to drop the compression just a hair though

Can I get a ride??

Man that thing is bad ***

My question is the fuel system. Is the supply line feeding the regulator? All of the diagrams I've seen lately show the regulator after the rails hooked directly to the return line? Are you feeding the rails from the rear or whats done to have it on the supply side?

I can't wait for that video

I'm hoping this engine will turn about 9000 RPM and if that's the case then 30" tires will work fine.

Checkin' out my handy dandy gear calculator...150 MPH comes out to be 8618 RPM with 30" tires. Make 'em 30.5" to account for tire growth and we get 8477. Factor in another %5 for converter slippage and we get 8923 RPM.

What size throttle body?
It looks like the 80mm one, but just a guess.

Stephen,

Engine looks great! I'm very interested to see what you can do with this once its sorted out.. My next project I have is to put together an 8 second NA Engine, but then again I'll be backdating to a Rodeck or Donovon Aluminum Gen1 SBC, with some *serious* heads.

Good luck!

As it has been said before... Mike, and the guys at MTI do some badass work.

The most impressive thing to me is the FAST system. Last I talked to Mike he was in the middle of handwiring the harness to make a standalone FAST system...a piggyback system. I've been known to tear into some **** on my car but that task was just.... .

Looking forward to seeing you again Colonel!
