Never tried it but I am willing to learn. How do you make a missle out of a coke bottle?

O.K....get a nice new bottle (you guys have the plastic ones I'm assuming?) and drill a 3/16" hole in the centre of the lid. Remove the plastic seal. Get a bit of 1/4" dowl or the likes about 30" long. Make a fin out of cardbord (that plastic stuff the use for signs is great) by crossing the card inside each offer like you see on the bottom of a rocket. Fix the fin and the dowl to the coke bottle using good packing tape or the likes making sure the nozzle is pointing towards the fin (bottom of bottle pointing up).
Now you have your bottle with rudder attached ready to fly. 2/3 fill with water. Get the air line of your compressor with a blower attachment and place it in the nozzle (drilled lid) Make sure the compressor is at 100 psi+ and charge the bottle holding it away from your face and pointing towards the sky. Once the bottle stops taking air ( you will hear this) launch towards the heavens.
I have sean this things fly 100yards up and over 300 yards away...give it a go...you won't believe something so simple can do what it does. You can mess with the amount of water and the nozzle size to tune it and keep the fin as light as possible. We messed with making proper nozzles in the lathe with appertures like you would see on the shuttle and the performance was BS!! Let me know how you do...Don't fly them around cars...if the thing miss fires and a 1/2 full bottle od water land on one...you will know....
I take no responsibility for personal injury or damage from flying the SCUD....
