That's definitely a cam out of a 6.0 GTO. You take the 2 out of the first set of numbers...the 0 out of the second set of number and then the 0 and 8 out of the last row of numbers, and that tells you it came out of a 2008 model. Hope this helps

thats odd, thanks for the info man . Does anyone know the specs on the cam , it ran good but died at 5200 rpm . Might be from the stock ls1 intake and not the cam.

It is NOT a Z06 Cam, its about the smallest cam they put in an LS1 engine!!! 196/207 dur@ .050 .479/.467 lift 116LSA -1. They are on ebay for $30 "buy it now".

1721 is the last four digits of the part number of the cam(#12561721) and came stock in 2001+ F-body and Corvettes. The Z06 cam your looking for is numbered 5308!!

it was said to be a regrind cam . here is what it says on ebay

This is fresh custom copy of a LS1 high performance cam. Fits G.M. 4.8,5.3,5.7,6.0 engines. Specs are 204/218 .550/.550 (your choice of LSA 112,114, 116 (please specify your choice when ordering). The cam will provide a noticeable idle with good low end through top mid- end performance gains. This is a regrind cam great for street and mild strip use.

This regrind is done by a company that has been serving many speed shops in my area for years. It will have a fresh grind with no runs.If you are not familiar with the regrind process it is like copying a key.You have the master template which provides the lobe profile for the slave product. This process is done by cutting on the back end of the lobe. there is no welding to be done. All lobe, and journals are polished.

this would be why my car only put down 297 rwhp and died around 5200 rpm i guess
