Default Stock LS2 cam in a 5.3...power increase?

I am currently swapping a 99 5.3L into a 98 Silverado (base, no options) standard cab and bed with a 4l60e. I want to put some LS6 springs in it and some kinda cheap factory cam that will give it more power. Will an LS2 cam work for this? I have read that the LS6 was the way to go but cant find one only a couple LS2's for 50 shipped. It will eventually (soon) have a mid/rear mounted MPT70 or MPT76, so I would like it to be fairly compliant with that setup also.

ls2 cam will not have the rear cam sensor in it. u will have to do a front style cam sensor along with the conversion for it. the only cam that has ls2 specs and has the sensor in the back is the 01 ls6 cam. Im doing a similar set up but with a larger turbo. im looking into the TU0 cam from speed inc and comps smaller grinds like the 212/218

I just bought some LS7 valve springs so I think I am gonna get a decent size cam since they can handle .620 lift. Will I need pushrods or injectors to run a cam near .600 lift with a stock 5.3L with stock intake?

I dont really know what to do on my fuel pump. Been wondering if I can do the popular twin walbro 255 setup in my 98 silverado.
