Default 241 heads worth dollar wise and performance wise

What are a set of complete 241 heads (3,000 miles) worth dollar wise and performance wise over the heads on an earlier (98) LS1 engines

Also would they be a direct swap with no modification or tuning?

I understand port work or CNC heads would obviously make much more power etc but I just want an answer to the question posted

+1 - the only difference, internally anyway, is the casting method.

If you want a budget OEM head that s worth swapping, sell your 241 heads and look for some LS6/243/799 castings. These have a better combustion chamber and different port design, and should be good for 15-20 hp over LS1 castings of any variety.

I agree, if you are swapping heads, get the better flowing 243 castings (1/2 point higher CR too).
