how to find out what vehicle and what years a 6.0 came out of
I bought a complete 6.0 from a guy that has the 317 heads on it. I want to make sure wether it has a 58 or 24 tooth reluctor. The intake has a drive by wire throttle body on it and the only casting number I found on the block is 12577184. The heads still had a tag with a bar code and the Letters YKB then under that *10ykb W060046701* 398. I tried t osearch and could not find how to identify it.

If you want to know the exact year the block was made there is a 4 digit casting number on the front of the block just in front of the passenger side head. It's a letter followed by 3 numers. The letter tells you the month (ex. A= January B= February & so on) the next two are the date and the last digit is the year. For example mine is F203 which means is was manufactured on June 20, 2003.

Well I don't know about the "M" seeing that is the thirteenth number in the alphabet. They may have skipped a letter. Someone else may know.
Since it ends in a 5 it was manufactured in 2005 which means it should have a 24 tooth reluctor.
As stated above the easy way to identify it is to look at the color of the crank sensor on the side of the block.

Probably skip "I" to avoid confusion with 1
