Default so im going to get the 224R cam but i have a few questions.

I'm wanting to hear opions about the power band on this can. Lastly where should I get tuning from? I already have a diablosport so I would like to keep.that unit but I don't really have much for tuning here in Boise.

Do you guys think my best option is going to be doing a mail order tune?

As for the power band ive seen dyno sheets of this can but I was hoping for some people with personal experience to share there thoughts on it.

As opposed to trying to do it yourself with a diablo handheld tuner, without a doubt.

Yes a mail order tune from any of us sponsors you will be better off than you would doing it yourself with the diablosport tuner.

The 224r is a very mild very well manner cam with a broad power range... its proven it self over and over again...

I would not be tuning it myself with the Diablosport. What i would do is try and get diablo to send me a tune for that cam over the net and download it to my tuner. Then from there take it to the Diablosprt CMR dealer here in town and have him tune it for WOT.

The reason for that is because i dont trust him for doing a drive ability tune.

This is why ive been so concerned with camshaft choice. I have to drive this car everyday about 50 or more miles and if it has a crappy tune im going to hate life.

Gotcha.

As common as the 224 is and has been, I would say a mail order tune would be fine. If your really worried, just PM or email places that do mail order tuning and see what they have to say.

You'll be able to tell how they talk about what they would do if they really know what they are doing or not.

Good luck

Ive been looking at Thunder racings cheater V3 cam as well. Maybe that would be a better route as tuning for wot is really only needed.

To take full advantage and get maximum driveabilty any cam needs a tune and an auto needs a stall. Cam and tunes go hand in hand.
