Default FMS Cam Owners

I was wondering who all here is running one of Allen's cams and what your dyno and track numbers were? I just swapped out my 224 for one of his cams and am trying to get a general idea.

Thanks

Got his 228/230 cam on 113 LSA w/ TEA 1.5's. No dyno numbers yet (getting tuned this week actually - hopefully tomorrow). Took it to the track once (first time w/ H/C) and went 11.70 at 118 mph. IMO - its not bad considering its untuned, complete full weight (still w/ jack/spare) and basically stock suspension.

When I got some dyno numbers - I will post them. She definately feels real strong.

All I know Tally is what my *** told me, and it told me this FMS cam is a beast. I am just trying to get a general idea of track times. I could really care less about dyno's.

I believe it was 1.65 seconds. Would have gotten better but I broke the rear (AGAIN) on the cars first pass. I let a buddy make a run in it since he had a lot of seat time with a H/C car to see what he could do with it. I dont remember what kind of 60' he got (didnt break until 3 to 4 shift).

FMS is the **** and Alan's cam are the best available on the market IMO. His ramps/lobes are definately a step ahead of the game....Obviously since I am making big #'s with a cam HALF the size of a G5X2 or TSP231 cam...

a need to find someone to buy my current cam so i can call fms and get a custom grind from them (hopefully during the sale). im really curious to see what he recommends to me based on my setup.

a 224/581/112 shouldnt be too hard to sell, i hope . . .

I had an XER 224/.591/112 LSA when I was running cam only. Same bolt ons as I have now. I ran a best of 12.13 at 115mph. Put down 379 RWHP on a suspect dyno (not that they mean much) running through 12-bolt w/ 4.30 gears, McLeod Iron Disc cluthc, on 17" Chrome SS wheels (heavy). Just shortly after that - I had a lifter seize up which gouged my cam up and ruined it.

Since we had to pull the heads to change lifters - I threw on some PP Stage 2's and replaced the XER with the FMS cam (after many long talks with Alan). He spec'd me a cam which gave me some good power and allowed me to keep my driveability. I ended up having a lot of issues with the PP heads (never dynoed/tracked them) so I swapped them out for a set of TEA Stage 1.5's. Took it to the track untuned w/ the TEA's just to make a couple passe before the end of the season and ran 11.70 at 118 mph at full weight with my big 250lbs *** driving (having no seat time) w/ a not so ET friendly +2000 D/A. You can check out the link in my sig for my webpage which shows all mods on the car. I should have some dyno numbers tonight or tomorrow.
