You wont be able to see a difference on heads cc with stock heads gaskets or without changing pushrods length!! my heads are mill .025 using 7.375 pushrods and a .040 cometic heads gasket that puts me around -4cc

Call up a sponsor. If you have a 228r I would imagine you bought this from TSP so they will be happy to help you

pushrods are about the cheapest performance part you can buy. Don't make me link a thread where some tools didnt measure PR length among other things.

Save up an do it right the first time dont cut corners it will cost you more in the end. Get some pushrods and the Ls7 lifters while you have it apart already.

I have the same heads look around and you may be able to find some 241's or better with work done to them for the price of getting your worked on.
It depends on what you are trying to do and how much you want to spend.
