Is there something wrong here??

Is there something wrong here??
I know I shouldn't be worried about numbers, but this didn't seem to add up...
I have a 1999 Trans Am WS6 6 Speed
I made 377 RWHP with:
Stock LS6 Heads/Cam/Intake
Pacesetter Headers
SLP Lid
Stock Gears
Stock Rear End
I added a 228/232 112+5LSA Cam and a Borla Exhaust, Sub Frame Connectors, Rear Lower Control Arm, Torque Arm.
My RWHP only went to 382 but my torque went up by about 25. (Although I do notice a HUGE difference in response and speed)
Does this make sense or is something fuckt on my car?

Joe D spec'd my cam.
Same Dyno as last year, pretty sure it's uncorrected.
Cam Specs: Intake Duration @.050= 228
Exhaust Duration @.050= 232
Intake lift= .600
Exhaust lift= .595
LSA= 112
Intake Centerline= 107
Exhaust Centerline= 117
Cam Lobe Family= HR5

Get a good tune and see what happens. My guess is you will be very happy after that is done.
Keep us informed. Good Luck!!!

Call Texas Speed and tell them what is going on. They may have some ideas. They have helped me out many times.
Who did the install for you? Maybe someone installed it off a tooth or two?
Good Luck!!!

The more I think about, it it may not be to far off. You still have stock heads & the LS6 intake. The heads are going to REALLY restrict your numbers. Even if you put on a used set of decent heads you could pick up a quick 15-20RWHP.
Look on the for sale section and see if you can get a set of 5.3L Stage 2.5 heads from Texas Speed. New they are only like $1,100. So, you should be able to pick up a used set for around $600 - $700.
That should put you at about mid 390-400RWHP.

Ahh a mechanic here in Nova Scotia, he is supposidally one of the best around so I couldn't see him ******* up something like that. It runs great, esp after the tune yesterday. I don't feel or see anything wrong with the perfomance, just the numbers seemed a bit low.

What type of rear are you running? My cam is close to yours and I put down 385 through a 9". You typically see approximately 13hp difference between it and the 10 bolt. So if that were the case you would be around 395ish which would be about right. Of course if your numbers are uncorrected then that is a factor as well.

I'd be more than ill if I didn't pick up at least 20-25 horsepower. 5? That's pathetic and something is definately not right. A cam should pick up more horsepower on an LS1 than anything else you can do to one.

well I am ill about it lol, but I did notice a big difference with the cam, it put my torque up a lot just not the hp....
Is it possible after the installation of new NGK plugs (cause i think i still have stock ones) and a wide band(air fuel) gauge plus a street tune will help bump my numbers up more?
