Default how many ci can you get from a stock ls1 block

i know nothing at all about ls1s, a friend and i was trying to figure out the most c.i. you can get from a stock ls1 block. help me out people lol

but you can only do a .10 bore on them correct?

No, .010". 3.898" bore is stock, 3.908" is max. 3.905" is the most common. 3.905 and a 4" stroke will put you at 383ci. 3.905" with a 4.125" stroke will net the 395ci.

The most common LS1 stroker is a 383 like was said. I'm not a big fan of the 4.125" strokers, the pistons get a little thin between the pin and top (where the ring landings are). It's also possible to have the block resleeved for a bigger bore, but that's big bucks.

ERL offers a 4.125 and 4.200 in their superdeck blocks. But they are re sleeving these blocks.

For the cost of doing a 4" bore on an LS1, you'd have to resleeve and it would be cheaper just to get a LS2 or LQx block.

Right, can't do a 4" bore with a LS1 block without resleeving.

They dont get that thin as they are (if I remember correctly 25% thicker than the stock sleeves). These motors are seeing in upwards of 2000hp so I dont think you will ever have a problem

Like batboy said not a big fan of the 4.125" stroke the most i will go on the ls1 is a 383 with the 4.000" stroke!!
