how much compression can i run on pump gas some say i can go as high as 12.1 ??

I went for 11:1 on my build. You'll want to know your dynamic compression ratio as well. Your cam will affect that.

12.0:1 SCR would be pushing it on 93 octane but there are a lot of other variables. I would build for 11.3-11.5 just to be safe and make sure you can run max timing.

11.9:1 here but I have some good heads that are very efficient, low timing 26* max...

also make sure to tighten up the quench to reduce detonation...

I run a .040 cometic...

It just depends on the setup and tune. You would need to know all the cam specs and how much timing will be in the motor. I would say it can be done but it might not be the best way to go. Post up some more info. if you have it.
