Broken valve spring....takes out engine!
Brand new crate engine, gets a little comp 230ish/ high .500 lift cam, new comp 918 beehives. It ran awesome for 3k miles then POOF... Broken valve spring dropped valve...munch...munch... arhhh!
Simple, cam only set-up.... Anyone get the blame? The shop that installed the cam and springs... comp for the springs.... Or the guy with the heavy foot.... Possibly missing a gear and bouncing off the limmiter...
Input... please.

I really don't understand why anyone puts these junk 918 springs in there engine. There supposed to. Be revised yes but you still see people dropping valves from them breaking all the time. I just don't get why people use them when you can get pac 1518 nitrated beehives for 150 at scoggindicky. I've only seen one tread where a pac beehive broke I just don't get why people won't spend the extra 25-50 and be sure they got a good product.

No I don't I mean 1518 nitrated beehive spings there gold colored you can get them for 150 just shop around. Just because a vendor has a certain price on there website that doesn't mean the won't go any cheaper on the product if you send them a pm.
I payed 168 shipped for my 1518 springs I bet I still have the pm saved where he qouted me that price if you don't believe me. The 1218 springs where either 100 or 125 plus shipping but I wanted the nitrated springs for extra safety so I went 1518.
