Default A couple pictures of my 370 going together.

I don't think I'd posted these before. It's an LQ4 block, custom JE 2618 pistons, Callies Compstar rods, Callies Compstar crank in a 3.622 stroke with an extended front post for an LS7 oil pump, ARP main studs, and Katech billet main caps with all ACL bearings. You can see the pins for the caps in the first pic before the crank went in. A lot of machine work went into this block, and everything they did looks great. I'm a wicked picky dickbag with machine work, and I had nothing to say other than "this is great" when they finished.

I'm trying my best to put this all together in time to drive the car next year. It's going into my 1995 Caprice, which gets most of the Impala SS treatment, without any of the emblems/logos, so just de-chromed, all body color trim/door handles, lowered a lot. I have a LOT left to buy and a LOT left to do...I usually don't share pictures of things I work on, hope you guys enjoy.

Twin Turbo.

Going to run the 317 heads that came as part of the LQ4. Should have my custom cam back in a week or 2. Planning to fire it up NA on an engine dyno before the car is ready for it, will be nice to know the rings are seated and everything before hand, the hone specs we did for the JE Hellfire package are pretty detailed, so I want to make sure we do what JE said to do in order to seat them. The machine shop has a dyno already setup with electronics to run these, so it should be relatively painless.

After it's done I will make a thread full of pictures...I should have clarified, I'm not one to post "in progress" pics...because when I can't afford to work on it for months at a time, I get discouraged with people asking for updates lol. When it's done, if I am happy with it, there will be plenty of pictures.

Adam, does Brooke still work there? I ordered the crank from him a while back, probably in 2006, my machine shop was excited with how easy it was to finish the balance on the crank, he said you guys did a great job with the rough balance.

Yeah Brook is still here. He does not get on tech as much as he used to. I will let my Balance guys know they have been doing good work!

I don't know if it was done in house at Callies, or at the local shop that Brook sent the crank to to have the post extended before it came to me...either way, it's great...just wish it had come with a T-Shirt lol.

All of our balance work is done in house. We have 3 guys and that is all that they do. Sorry about the t-shirt!
