Maybe after my deployment I can swap out my little TSP 231/237 cam for a real cam. Just gotta do some heads sometime as well. Nice numbers on the rollers, good luck at the track.

I have a couple of questions:
1. Jason, ur bottom end is completely stock, right? No ARP bolts or anything, right? How many miles are on your shortblock? I'm just a little worried how a mid to high mileage LS1, or any LS1 w/o some ARP Rod bolts would handle be shifted at 6800 - 7000 rpm frequently or even daily!
2. Will the lifters need to be changed out to Comp R's? Cuz I have the regular Comps (stock lifter went bad before I had a cam and before I knew a lot about these cars and just replaced all the lifters with comp's, but not the Comp R's! Wish I would've known at the time, cuz I would've replaced them with the Comp R's!) and it would be a much easier and cheaper swap if I didn't have to pull the heads and change to comp R's!
3. How much power loss do you think there will be if one's running on stock 853 casting heads instead of the newer 241's?
That's about all I can think of for now, thanks in advance for taking the time to answer my ?'s and congrats again on the cam and the great #'s it's putting down man!!!!

Ravenous T\A: 3.73 would work, but 4:10s or steeper are recommended. A good street/strip could would be the Mcleod single disk or the Spec stage 3.
Loudmouth LS1: My bottom end still has stock pistons/rods/crank, but it has been rebuilt with new rings, bearings, and ARP rod bolts/main studs. Current mileage is around 5k.
I had a GM shortblock that had 50k hard miles on it before I installed it in my car, plus an additional 20k miles I put on it that saw 6800+ daily from me and the previous owner (revlimiter was set at 7k). The motor was still going strong when it was taken out to be replaced with the forged shortblock seen in my signature. I do understand that there are alot of people out there who would be leary spinning their motors that high. They can either shift at a lower rpm or go with a different cam.
Stock lifters are fine with this cam. This is what I am currenty using. When heads go on, I will be replacing them as these lifters have 70+ miles on them.
I would expect around 5-6hp less with 853 heads.

I'm seriously interested in this cam. (Who isn't?! )
Would it be possible to get a sound clip from the side of the car? I'd be interested in what it sounds like without the exhaust actually blasting into the microphone. What's the idle shake like?
I'd also be interested in more guidelines as far as what it takes to get this thing workable from a tuning standpoint. There's a well-regarded tuner local to me and I figured any particulars for this cam would be real helpful.
Thanks!

Chad, the 29th will be extremely doubtful. I am trying to get a few cars ready for the SBSO on March 14, so my car is going to be take a rest for awhile. We are cutting it close with 3 cars/motors we need to have finished up for that race and they are all in pieces. Then factor in school, homework,etc.... I get very little sleep.
Stock rockers will work just fine with this cam.
