Depending on the advance ground in, between 8.5 and 8.8ish

6.84 is way too low. Something is wrong.

So long as you didn't order it "custom" with a different ICL than standard, you will net about 11.1:1 static, and about 8.7:1 dynamic.

8.7:1 hmm.... a bit high for 91 octane. Should I change cam or run a thicker head gasket? or just run slightly less timing?

Running a thicker head gasket is almost always the wrong way to reduce the
compression. Perhaps get the TSP 231/234; seems real popular, nice idle,
and very streetable with the right tune. You have enough static comp for it
to work well

How is any of this useful without knowing what elevation the OP lives at? In Denver, you can run more DCR on 91 octane than you can in Death Valley.

How much dynamic compression can you run at 2000 feet with 91 octane??

I'd agree it'd be more beneficial to retard the cam rather than running a thicker gasket!

The real issue is the cranking compression. Going for, say, 200 psi ( safe on pump premium ) takes both more SCR and more DCR in Denver than in Death Valley. But 200 works wherever you are in this nation.
