At first i wanted a bolt on car but now I want thecar to have a mild chop to it. Not looking to be a dyno queen, I had even thought about getting a Hot cam since there not expensive.....What do you guys recommend????

What will be on the engine,LT headers or stock exhaust manifolds?
Single pattern cam (224/224, 226/226, 228/228, .....) or regular split pattern cam with a mild split(226/230,228/230, 228/232,230/232,....) with the LT headers.
Regular split pattern cam with a wider split,(224/230, 224/232, 226/232, 228/234, ..) with stock manifolds.

I think a 228/228 112lsa, or a 228/232 112lsa should make you happy.

I have a 220/224 cam that has a power range of 2k to 6k with very good street manners. It put down 403whp/378wtq.

I have the 228/228, 112lsa, I am very pleased with the cam, provides good power and still doesn't sacrifice driveability, I would suggest at least a 3600 stall converter with a 228 or larger cam if you want to get the most out of it.

Is this the #25-228R from texas speed? I was checking out their website. I'm getting a LS2 from a 05 GTO that had about 8K on it. I have been searching around on what to put in it to get around 400hp at the wheels. The motor has no intake because the car was in a fire. What intake should i look for?? I saw someplace that the LS6 intake/throttle body is the same as the GTO/Corvette one. They don't have any specs on duration on their webpage? I'm after a little lope that you can hear but i don't want to get crazy and not be able to drive it all the time. I'm thinking also a full length tube header and cold air intake kit and 3.73 gears. Going to have a 4L60 auto trans too. I don't want to have a huge converter. Like to be more streetable than my last motor/trans. This is going in a 71Z28 and is going to be replacing a 406 small block and 350turbo trans. Like to have it be more of a driver but not too lame! Thanks

Forgot to ask what springs should i go with too? Are the beehives better for street driving?

Our VB cam would fit the bill of your desired power range and makes great average power in a LS2. Feel free to contact me with any questions. Chris, 817-750-2000
