Default 408 cam pick 254/258 .622 .622 111lsa

Hey wussup guys im getting my 408 motor built and i bought this cam for it because I couldnt pass up the deal. My shortblock combination is as follows: diamond -2cc pistons, k1 6.125 rods, eagle 4.000 crank. Thinking about buying texas speed 2.5 5.3 heads being cash is short intake havnt picked out yet. Built 4l60e and yank 4400 stall, 4.10gears. Also will be spraying 200 shot. But my question is I do 60% track and 40% street action. Would i be able the daily drive this cam If i WANTED to and also what power could I expect out of this combo. Thanks

The camshaft should be fine. I would go with the PRC 2.1" valve, 237cc heads.

I would go with a GMPP carb style intake or a ported vic jr. with a 4150 throttle body on top! Then put a Plate kit on it ! You will have to trim a little on the cowl but it would be worth it! I dont see why you shouldnt be between 490 to 530 RWHP range on motor . I am not trying inflate and say 520-550 but those numbers are hard get with a auto. Then on 200-250 shot in the low 700's with no problems...

Yes it will probably be a vic jr intake. I will be satisfied with 490+ all motor no spray im hoping that cam i bought from you will pull till at least 7000 thats where my rev limiter will be set unless it doesnt make hp up there but i will be happy with it reguardless. Long as i can see high 10's i will be happy.

i've had great luck with the PRC 2.5 L92 heads, if you're on a budget as well. I'm at 554/510 rwhp/tq on a pretty hot NA tune. on a 72 jet and 20* of timing it put down 665/760. Short block is TSP uilt LS2 402, wiseco pistons, callies crank/rods.
