So let me make sure I understand this right. You paid to have the cam installed and you still dont know the specs?! I can understand Lou's wanting to keep a secret for a while but if you payed for it I would sure want to know whats in there. My cash is ready for this cam, but the car will NEVER make a road trip from Seattle for it just to have a cam install done. Thats pretty frustrating for me, knowing that there is a good cam out there I want but cant get it. Why, the cost just to get the car out there would be more than the install. Once this thing stops being a "texas only" cam. I might be interested.
Hell I would even send my computer down there for tuning and do the install here on my own. But that would go over like a fart in church if I asked.
Man, this is just frustrating for me.

I understand your frustration. Trust me, I'm dying to know too. But, the awesomeness of this cam is undeniable, and I know Lou will stand behind his products/work if there is ever a problem with them.

Hey Lou, how are my new LS6 stageII heads coming along? Now that the Shootout is cancelled we can put those babies on for the reschedule. I want to see how they'll perform with my G5 cam, after that I'll probably switch to the G5X-2. Ask Jeremy if he's going to the shootout w/ LS1-Edit to help out the LG cars. Lou and the gang at LG have never let me down. It's worth the 6-7 hour drive from down here in HOT Laredo,TX if you know they'll take care of you in any way possible.

Huh? Customers ask to pay money for something and are told no? Did I read that right?
The cam may be unbelievable, but I sure wouldn't buy it on someone's word. That'd be like buying a crate big block that the company said was a 507 but wouldn't show you the motor till you drove down there to have it installed.. pffft
I think I'd be willing to wait 30 days if I wanted a cam until the specs came out.

I didn't pay money for the specs. I paid money for the performance the cam gives me. And that I was certainly not denied.
The choice to reveal the specs is completely up to Lou. If you wouldn't buy the cam just for that purpose, that's your choice, and that's fine. But, you're missing out. What are you going to do if you don't buy Lou's cam? Buy another one, right? And then what have you gained? Knowledge of the specs, right? But, what have you lost? Very likely several horsepower. I guess the trade-off is up to you to analyze and decide upon.

Yeah, it certainly won't be easy. My car is not NHRA legal. It doesn't have a roll cage, nor a d/s safety loop. I'm going to try to do it this weekend through the exhuast, which does indeed include 2 bullet mufflers. This is the same exhaust I got these kick-ace numbers with, and I'm gonna try to run it just how it was on the dyno, except with a little weight reduction. The carpet will be in the car, too. I'm gonna take out the back seats, and anything else I can get out without violating the "photo-friendly" rule they're using in the shootouts this year, but I'll have carpet, interior panels, dash, console, 2 front seats, etc. Thanks for wishing me luck! I'm gonna need it. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Hey guys,
Stay tuned. We will be selling this cam over the counter to be installed by you or your installer very soon.
It seems that some of the other genius parts forwarders/fake tuners, (read Thunder plus some other shops), have been working overtime to get our cam specs. They contacted our cam grinder to get our G5X-2 cam specs.
Looks like they have succeded, so I will be selling this cam outright just so they and one other shop cannot claim the cam as their own.
We have more pride than to copy someones cam, or even something close, just to claim it for our own, like the other shops have.
This is exactly why we wanted to keep the specs to our self. Now the moron shops that were more interested in spending time going to suppliers rather than doing R&D can now put out a cam like the G5X-2 cam and claim that they came upwith it on their own.
So the result is that the G5X-3 cam will come from another cam supplier. And I will let them know it tomorrow.

Thanks guys, I hope you will support LGM with your purchase of this cam so we can continue to do the good work for the LS1 hot rodders that make the LS1 a real force.
I am not sure if they found out our Intake centerline, so we still may be ok here.
