Default Need Opinions on this Cam

i am going to get

Comp cams: .566/.569 .222/.226 12

1. is this a good cam for my car?

2. hows the idle going to be?

3. how long can i last until i get LS1 edit to dyno tune?

and if any other advice, i am open ears

i like the sound of those specs , i had a 222/222 114 and it ran and idled good. i did have stage 2 heads though. i never used ls1 edit or maft, i did have detonation above 5000 on pump gas, but with a little 100 octane it went away <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Justin, that was my first ever cam <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" /> I made 360/360 with open FLPs, no ls6 intake or tuning. That was ~ 2 years ago. I gained 30hp/10 tq with the cam only, then with the FLPs, it made and additional 30/30.

The Idle is tame, but the car will want to die still. LS1 edit will help quite a bit, especially on your A4 <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />

i was alittle worried about the cam being too big, but i feel better now,,, i just have to pay to get it tuned, 450

another question?

how is it going to be? drive-ablitly?

any thoughts on how much hp i will have?

FWIW: I had a TR-224 114lsa cam in my Auto SS with tuning, and as far as street usage, thats the biggest I would want to go. Anything more and the car will start stalling even with tuning. Big Cams dont like autos as much as those M6 guys <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
