worn ms4 cam
I had a TSP 224 for several years and decided to change to the MS4, my car has 36k on it. I only put less then 600 miles on the cam when I heard a very bad valve train noise, I looked threw the cam hole and saw that the lifter did not spin. I have not removed the lifter yet and was wondering if anybody has seen this, I have seen many stock truck engines do this at work.

Numerious lobes on a Comp cam 228/232 xer lobe in my LS6 came out looking like that, but the cam had 55,000 miles on it.
It seemed to fall apart very rapidly towards the end. Loud tappet noise started almost overnite. Several lifters had flat spots, but most of the stock lifters did look ok.
Still got the pictures, if you want to see them email me.

Yeah not saying TSP is not doing it right but, a couple weeks ago a guy posted up 3 or 4 TSP cams with messed up lobes. But TSP needs to get these cams in house and inspect them and see what's up before their name gets tarnished.

If your having abnormal wear I can assure you it is nothing we are doing, our cams are ground by Comp just like many of the other vendors on this site. If you are having a problem give us a call, and we will do our best to get to the bottom of the situation.
