Best Cam Only (most power and driveability) for a DD
Looking for a bumpstick to throw in my new motor and I am having trouble deciding which one will give me the most power while retaining driveability. I intend to use this cam at the track say once every two months and for the street to eat mustangs and such. so mainly a street cam with good torque and a nice long powerband, sayy 2-6, the highest i want to rev is probably 6500
full bolt ons and cutout, m6, good clutch and shifter.
i think thats enough explanations
Thanks!!

I agree with cranny, look at the 228...first can I went with was a 224 and after a week I wanted a bigger cam. Since you going to be running on the street is stay at or just under .600" lift and to get your power coming in earlier maybe a 110-112 lsa

there is no "best" cam
if you really want one tailored to your setup have Pat G spec you a custom cam.
I had a 228R in my h/c/stall/intake LS6 trans am. it was great, but I would have went bigger next go around. but be weary, high lift eats springs every 20-30k miles and $350 for springs every 30k adds up!

ya ran the streetsweeper, for the last 2 years. That cam is bad ***, and ran great you can find some info on that. I made 425whp 395wtq, and went a few 10.66s at 128's cam only with that. And the car was heavier then it is now, with all stock front stuff just single adjustable shocks really.
The new one I have makes more power, and runs the same really. You have to flycutt for it, the streetsweeoer you don't. But looking for MOST power I'd do it.

Others have tried to copy it, but they just can't perform the same as this FTI profile due to it's proprietary lobes. Expect gains of 65+ rwhp from this cam, specs are roughly 236/240 .630/.615 111 LSA. Driveability when properly calibrated is better than what you would expect with a cam this size.
