Pull one or more of the springs and buy, rent, or borrow a spring pressure tester. Some auto parts stores have them and any machine shop will have one. You should also check for coil bind on one more of the assembled valve springs.

Since stock rockers are pretty stout the odds are that you simply got one that had a structural flaw in the metal.

I would upgrade the trunions and stick with stock rockers unless you have some exotic valve springs/pressures.

If I looked at the correct version those are rated at 471 pounds of open spring pressure.

400 is the most open pressure you want to run on stock rockers. Much more and valve tip damage will occur as well as rocker failure. You need a good roller rocker with that kind of pressure.

The unwritten rule is that you post pics of part you broke...

we're curious to see how the stock rocker snapped.

I thought the maximum open spring pressure for stock rockers was something higher than 400 pounds based on some folks returning to stock rockers after breaking Yella Terras while running open spring pressures higher than 400 pounds.

Jesel Sportman shaft rockers are rated to 900 pounds.

Thats funny, between three of us running scorpions on fairly radical solid roller sbc for 4 years now, not a single failure. Im talking 290 seat and close to 700 open, 7200 and 8000 rpm applications. Maybe theres a design flaw in their LS version???? Any personal data on this or are you quoting hearsay about scorpions?
