Default re use head gaskets,,, i know i know other threads

have the perma torque felpro head gaskets... i have torqued them down twice now and new time/ final time will be three times. I have never ran the motor or filled it with coolant. called Federal Mogal told them they exact same thing, tech support guy said you can reuse as long as you never filled it with fluids or started it.
Im more than likely going to use them no matter what anyone else says (hell the manufacture said to run them). i would like to hear from someone that has been in the same boat as me and if you had any issue reusing torqued gaskets.

How much are replacements?

Consider if they do leak, you will have buy new gaskets anyways along with coolant, time scraping, and your time.

I would probably reuse them, depending onif they still looked good.
With nothing but some pressure from torquing down but no heat from combustion or motor....I think you'll be fine.

Fel-pro tech told you to re-use compressed gaskets? Once they are compressed, they aren't re-usable. Good for mock up only. Period. But hey, since you don't care what anyone here tells you, go ahead, run em.

I've also read and been told that re-using them is ok IF it wasn't started. Personally I would change them though.

I would replace them. GM MSL head gaskets are only $50 from Texas Speed.

I also feel that replacing them would be best due to an additional tear down if the go after you get it together and run it. Sounds like you already had your mind set on not listening before you posted, so that is your call.
