Looking for input on 243 head options

Not doubting at all just would love to see the data being an engineer i guess
Also have you ever done a top head comparision for a maxed out setup...mast 225, TFS 225, AFR 230v2, PRC227s
that is impressive that you hit 500rwhp with a ls2 and stock intake...would love to see the build on that too...
thanks
sorry for the partial hyjack OP

There's a quick link to an article where an independent test showed flow testing and engine dyno testing on the heavy hitters. The PRC's (237's granted) were bettered in average power only by one head which retails at about $300-400 more than the PRC. I am told there are other independent tests with the PRC 227's and the comparable competitor heads in the works as well
Also, the quickest stock bottom-end LS1 F-body record was set by the PRC 227's and a Magic Stick 4.

Just a hair more than the 2nd Quickest stock bottom-end LS1 F-body does, if I recall correctly

your statement said that the PRC227 is the highest flowing head on a 3.90 bore which is very specific so i thought you might have back to back results...
So i am confused the head in the article was a PRC237 and it wasnt on a 3.90 bore to boot? So where is the statement stemming from that you made...

Yea, it was the 237's, TFS 245's, etc that were tested. I made the statement the test with the "medium" heads such as the 227's is in the works.

Well, after much research, and listening to many, many opinions on the subject, I ended up going with the Livernois Stg 3 243s. My thought process was 1. $2000 was the absolute max, which ruled out trick flow and afr, plus there are plenty of guys getting impressive results from CNCd 243s. 2. I drive the car almost daily, so being able to turn the car around over a weekend was a must for me. This ruled out TEA, AI, and a few of the other popular cylinder head specialists who no doubt do phenomenal work, but dont typically keep core heads on hand (I called and asked all of them). 3. The few guys I could find who were running Livernois heads, had nothing but great things to say about them....especially for a street car. None of them were turning heroic dyno numbers, but with similar mods to mine, were making pretty impressive torque around 3000 RPM. 4. Lastly, Rick at Livernois was extremely helpful in answering all of my annoying questions over the course of the last week.
So I placed my order for the heads this morning, hopefully Ill have them in the next week or so and can get some results posted up here in the near future. I just got my big box of parts from Jegs with the gaskets, LS7 lifters, lifter trays, ARP head bolts, ARP bolt hole cleaner tap, Comp trunion upgrade, push rod checker, FAST 36lb/hr injectors, and torque wrench so I think Im all set for the install....hoping Memorial Day Weekend

Good choice, I've used their product about 2.5 years ago and they delivered as advertised.
Over the years I've had about 6 pairs (personal) of different vendors and Livernois ranked amongst the better ones. The best i've used in stock casting are the ones I run on my C5 right now. They delivered the best lower rpm torque, however since cams used were sometimes similar but not exactly the same, it is not a direct A>B comparison.
I am not an advocate of huge cams as I mostly drive my setups on the street.
I've even used a set of 317 ported by Bo White and for the $$ they were great. That was on a supercharged 06 C6 LS2 running 7 psi (No meth. allowed where I lived at the time).
The first set I bought (stage 2.5 5.3L) was the worst in many areas (back in 2005)
