Pistons above block deck?
Pistons above block deck? Got a rebuilt motor with Mahler forged pistons in it and when the piston is at tdc it is above the block deck about 1/32 of an inch? Is this okay???? It's been run before but not by me
1/32 = .03125".....that's too much.
Are you using a piston bridge tool to measure it at the center of the piston without it rocking?? Or are you measuring it near TDC on the side that is rocked upwards? Most of the time pistons will be setup from about .010" in the hole to .010" out of the hole (when measured correctly)!

You cannot eye this measurement. At TDC and a few degrees each side of TDC the piston will rock slightly and one side will look as if it's out of the hole substantially and the other will be in the hole.
