Damn the bill just racks up higher and higher,I have an ls6 block so I wonder if it has an ls6 oil pump...port that and get a double roller t.c.
Does anyone live by Charleston that would help!? Labor on cam and springs is 1700 plus 150 for the tune

I'm making pretty good numbers with the V3. But I'd probably go with the Tsunami or something around those specs if I did it again. I shift at 6,500 rpm and it doesn't dip down at all.
If your concerned with surging make sure it gets street tuned. You'll probably have to pull timing around 1,500 rpm to get rid of it.

Why tsunami?
How streetable is that?
I want a cam that has the best useable power not the nothing nothing nothing holy **** power...
My tuner said that the v2 will probably beat the v3 in the quarter mile....

I'm just curious, are you looking at running the same LSA with either cam? If so the major difference between the two will be the higher lift, and the slightly longer duration of the V3. With that said, purely from a all out performance standpoint, the V3 should produce a tad better quarter mile time

I'd go with the V2 Unless your heads can really benefit from the higher lift of the v3 intake lobes and your going to go with roller rockers. Now if you're willing to a slightly compromise I'd go with a 231(lsl.617")/234(lxl.612") 111lsa+3, you'd have lower lift and better valve spring life then the v3, and performance on par with it.
BTW, I believe Tick performance now has this cam as a regular grind.

LOL @ the people saying the V3 has too much lift for a street car. I've ran the V3 for almost 2 years and it drives very well on the street. My 74k mile rockers are holding up just fine also.
OP, don't be scared of the V3. It has been shown to make some awesome power with a set of TSP's budget 5.3 or LS6 heads, as referenced by the guy with the SOM car in this thread and here: https://ls1tech.com/forums/dynamomet...fast-90-a.html.

I can say with equal mods the V3 sounds way meaner than my 224R. I thought about swapping to either a V2 or V3 but I don't think it would make a drastic difference for the amount of work involved for maybe an additional 10hp or so.

Call around bro ask what's recommend for high lift, I'm buying a 6.0 with ms4 I've called around done and most recommend rollers, said I didn't have to but its recommended just like when you change your cam you don't have to change springs oil pump and supporting mods but its highly recommended

There are probably better cams out there, I don't know this is my first cam swap. But the V3 is not too much for a street cam.

I'm not saying the high lift can't "work" but there is no reason for it on stock heads and the power gain it might get isn't worth the risk of damage to springs and rockers.

I agree with this guy. I know a couple people who have run this cam for years without issues. One guy daily drives his V3. They run the stock rockers with trunion upgrade. It's a nice cam that makes good power. I run a 224R myself and have beat some V3 cars in a race and lost to others. But there are other factors that come into play.

So with the trunion upgrade I can get out of rockers?
