low-end TQ of g5x-2 cam
Hows the low-end TQ of the g5x-2 cam compared to something like a comp 224/224 .581 112 cam? Lets say below 3500 RPM, because that is where most daily driving takes place.
I will be keeping my 3.42's because in a vette, rear end swaps cost as much as stage 2 heads!

I can vouch for the g5x2 having even more torque than most 224 cams because I have had both. I had a 222/226 cam before my lg cam and it was fine daily driving. Now with the g5x2 its even better. No loss at all.

224 cam will be less harsh on your valvetrain and be much more tameable yet still get make great power with great torque throughout.
g5x2 is more of a race cam even though most posters here won't admit that.
peak torque versus area under the curve power are two different ballparks.
my vote =224.

I have the G5X-2 in my 01 vette. I am on duty till tomorrow morning, and if I remember tomorrow I will e-mail you my graph and a friends graph (01 Z06) with the X-2 also.
My numbers are in the sig, but graphs explain more.
**Note** I dont have a pulley, and the cats are still on the car.

Do you feel that the 224/224 would have been better for low-end around town street racing or g5x-2 cam still?

If I remember correctly, I am above 350 rwtq from 3000 on. Having never riden or driven a 224 cammed car, I cannot give valuable insight.
I drive my car everyday, and almost a year now on the cam.
