Texas Speed and Performance. ------>
You'll need a crank bolt and other miscellaneous items involved with a cam swap, but most important, you'll need upgraded springs (Comp 918's at the very least, but go with dual springs for peace of mind).
Thunder Racing has a complete cam swap package. I'm sure TSP can hook you up as well.

Got mine from TSP. I think they have a special on it. Around $300. This cam likes a good set of ported heads and a free flowing exhaust. I would also get hardened pushrods if you are going with just a cam. And of course, a good set of dual valvesprings. Crane or Patriot duals.

It's very liveable with good tuning. Good tuning is crucial, along with the correct gears and/or toque converter to match.

I'm considering this cam as well.... wanting to match it up with some 4:10's in my M6. Gotta get some new valves first.... damn springs went and bent one.

Check the vendors feedback section. I think you will find that Texas Speed has a great reputation on the boards and out on the street. They have about the best customer service one could ask for....and as we have seen in the past, that can make the difference between a customer and a return customer.

what is the importance of using 4.10 gears on a m6 and how does it affect the driveability?

the powerband of the 231/237 cam is pretty high in the rpm range...higher gearing will allow you to get into that powerband quicker and stay in that powerband longer. You will loose a couple mpg on the highway(maybe) thats if your always driving in 6th gear now 6th will actually become usable to you. Around town youll be in 4th gear or maybe even 5th instead of 3rd gear cruising around.

I have 3.42s with this cam and it is very driveable. It may not be optimal for track use, but getting around town is certainly no problem.

The 231.237 is a Texas Speed camshaft You can run a search for all kinds of different setups using this cam in the dyno section. It is on special right now in the sponsors section with or without springs!!!
