Default LS3 Intake In A LS1 Car: Need Help Please

Ok so im wrapping up a 408 build and i was looking at my new LS3 intake and i noticed it has one nipple on the back for a hose where the LS1 had 2 nipples. So what do i do only hook up one of em or something. This has been bugging me all night so any help would be awsome. And btw im running LSA heads. And i have already moved the MAP sensor from the back to the front so i know it isnt for that. Thank in advance guys.

You can run a T, they are just vacuum ports.

The bigger question....Why are you running LS3 heads on a small bore LS1??? Do the valves clear the bore?

Yes its a 408. So where do i buy this T. Would i get it at autozone or home depot. This is my first time doing a conversion so im just trying to figure all this out. Also can a start a new engine before its tuned. I just want to make sure it runs before i trailer it 2i hours away to the dyno.

You can get the T @ home depot or a parts store probably.

If you are going from a ls1 to a 408 with different injectors and etc. I would not run it too long as it might get too much fuel .

the back of the ls3 intake has two "nipples"
one is big for the vacuum line from the brke booster

one is small for the vacuum line that goes to the HVAC line

did you need another "nipple"??

On my LS3 intake i see the nipple for the brake booster and what looks like another nipple but it is either capped or u need to cut it a tiny bit cause it isnt open. Basically i just want to start it for a couple seconds just to make sure it starts and to make sure i have oil pressure.

I've heard of people buying used intakes that have broken nipples and they rework them just fine. I would not tee up the hoses, just see what size nipple you need and shop for it. You can buy a nut backed nipple, or plasti-weld a nipple in. Just secure it really good. Try to match the location of the orig intake.
