Default Question about a cam for sale!

I have a set of PRC stage 1 243 heads/upgraded springs and an LS6 intake. There is a cam for sale, its a Torquer V2 112 lsa. Will this cam play nicely with the heads and intake I have now, or is there a better cam that would make more power with this setup?

It's a nice cam that when tuned, will give you nice drivability. Are there other cams out there that could make more power with your setup? Yes, definetely. Adding this cam with the setup you have as long as you have headers and decent exhaust, you should be around 400 whp.

Hmmmm, I think Ill have to be on the lookout for a different one then, was wanting a bit more power than that. Im piecing together a build and need a cam to go with what I have. I still need to get headers, pnp my throttle body, Ill be running true duals, dyno tune. Miscellaneous **** like an oil pump, gaskets and hardware, plugs, valve covers.

It's not about peak numbers, but more about a usable broad powerband. I run this cam with my 5.3 heads and it's a great fit

Martin@tick performance. He's the only sponser that is all over this website helping and specing out cams. He designs cams specfically for lsx. He has a line of street heat cams and sns torque cams. Pm him or call him.

I was hoping there would be more than 400hp to be made with these heads and intake. I will definately be looking into getting a cam made.

A4 or M6? What rear end? Street car or race car? Having just a rwhp target is not the way to go about purchasing a cam. Trust me, been there, done that.

Wait a minute. I have a AI H/C/I LT1 making 392 to the wheels through an automatic. It can't be that hard to get an LS1 over 400, can it?

M6, street strip, rear end is stock for now. As it sits, the only thing the car has is a Volant, which came with the car. I decided to do a budget build this time around after dumping a lot of money into the LT1. I got the heads and intake for 1275, so I just want to get the most out of what i have now. Later down the road I can choose to slap on a Fast intake but not now. I understand about all the little things that need to go with it, fuel, tuning, boltons, etc that are needed as well.

We make 400rwhp plus with cam-only set-ups that have intake/lid, LT's, Y-pipe/True Duals and cat-back exhaust like childs play. Give me a shout and I can make your dreams a reality.

Thank You!!

Check my sig mods....Those dyno numbers are with a LS1 intake stock 853 heads and 142xxx miles.....
Im not sure why everyone is doubting your 400 hp goal. But I do agree with not specing a build based on peak numbers, mid -high power is an amazing feeling. With the correct cam these cars feel like a mustang on Nitrous!

Stage 1 Prc's and the Torquer 2 is worth around 420+rwhp with all the supporting mods. You are more likely to be in the 430rwhp range.

You can get 400rwhp out of a poorly thought out setup. My goal on my next car is an LS1 that is better pieced together than my last 3. ...and they were all over 400. Some more than others.

I had a stock ls6 with the EPP blower cam... not even a cam designed for NA and I made 422 rwhp with full bolt ons. Your car will make over 400 very easily, and 440-450 isn't a very far off goal with the properly spec'd cam and tune. (through a M6)

Im not exactly sure of your goals but you can make some good numbers with those heads. Me personaly, I'd go MS4. Do those heads have the double spring upgrade or is it a single behive?
