Default Oil pressure low

Hello guys, I got my ls1 tune today and the tuner told me I had low oil pressure at idle and low rpms it its around ~20 when I get on it creeps up to no more than 40...back then before I broke the oil sensor behind intake and replaced it with a advance auto sensor it use to sit right at 40 any help.... Also There's this knock but I. Think it's my header hitting the k member ...very tight clearance there.

Thanks,

Did you change a cam recently what did you change prior to tuning? what did it make for oil pressure prior? did you just build this engine or has it been running without issue?

Running without issues...ls6 intake and headers then tune after he finished tune...the knock popped up I have confirmed its on the valvetrain or around that area the oil is there and it's full guessing the pump went out. Before it sat nicely at ~40 I'm running castrol 10w-30 synthetic.. Also when installing headers I took off the oil filter and was off with it fora day. Man this sucks right after my tune too

Looks to me you might have a bad oil pressure sensor. Try swapping it out.

Based on the design of the oil pump. Very unlikely to be bad, it really cant "Fail"

Another possible answer is you spun a bearing.

Hopefully its just a bad sensor.

A spun bearing and a knock would go together. Does the sound increase with RPM?

No sounds worst around 1-3 rpm but I mean the car still pulls hard (not that I'm doing it anymore) and wouldn't the hp tuners show anything

I'm thinking the OP sensor. Try to swap that out.

The stock oil pressure gauge is not good. Are you going by the stock gauge? My stock gauge flickers around like crazy.Sounds like your problem is not that though.

I'm going to take off my valve covers and check my valve train...What do i exactly check for is there ways to check or if something is loose it's bad? If everything looks good i will get an ac delco OP sensor and change the oil to mobil 1 5w-20 (have castrol 10w-20 all synthetic)...if nothing i will have to pull the head for lifter check is there a special way to remove the lifter (aside from removing the head) does it just come straight out?

Thanks

Idles at 60 warm??? what is it cold? 75?...I guess proof there that the stock gauge sucks.

I have a brand new LS in my car. Idles warm at about 40psi, 1200-2000 RPMS, about 50 PSI, WOT about 60-70 PSI.

I have Autometer gauges and sensors.
