Default Help picking which cam to use. LQ4 6.0L in Jeep CJ8

What suggestions might some of you have for a slightly bigger than stock cam in a 4 wheel drive? Comp Cams has the LSR series that look good. Especially the #269LrHR12. Has anybody had any exposure to these? Looking for a cam that will not require tuning the ECM.
Thank you for your input.

Can you post specs on that cam? I searched but came up with specs that seemed much larger than stock and probably would not work very well in a 4x4.

Here is what Comp Cams website has:
LSR™ Cathedral Port (Small Displacement or Max Torque, 4.8L-5.3L)
RPM range 1500-6700
Intake duration: 269
Exhaust duration: 277
Duration at .050: Int. 219 Exh. 227
Valve lift: Int. 607 Exh. 614
Lobe lift: Int. 357 Exh. 361

Only mentions 4.8l & 5.3l in the description as well.

I'd lean towards the 265Lr HR12 (215/223 112lsa+5, lift Int..604" Exh..610", -5* overlap) with a tune, without go with a cam with less overlap.

If you don't want to tune run the stock cam.

If you want milder cam lobes and less overlap, then go with a 214(.595" lxl)/218(.598"lxl) 113lsa+4, -10* overlap. I would stick with cams around this size/overlap range. Now if you want a shelf cam then go with a 212/218 within a LSA range of 112-114; there's plenty of them available!

a mail order tune from Frost is a great deal ,it will allow you to maximize the power of the cam you install.you will not regret a frost tune.

Default Factory LQ9 cam is a good choice without a tune.

LQ9 factory cam part #12561721. 196/207 duration at .050 0.467/0.479 lift on a 116 Lobe center

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the LQ4 and LQ9 shared the same cam, with just a different compression ratio (dished vs flat top pistons)?

Any cam mild enough not to require a tune probably isn't worth throwing in, at least for my money.
