Default I can't keep the heads on my iron block

This iron block has had 3 sets of stud, 2 sets of heads, and been two 2 machine shops. There are a total of 5 head gaskets that have left us on the side of the road. This issue happened at all different power levels. The first 3x before I got it where close to 1000rwhp and two with me one time within the first 100miles at 5200rpm, 5lbs of boost, and 16 degrees of timing. The second time we had 15lbs and I held for 6 one gear blasts down the hwy before we ended on the side of the road. The block has been decked any ideas?

If stock GM MLS, I'd look at the LS9s or Cometics.

You might also want to consider O-ringing the block and going with Copper head gaskets at 1k rwhp. Hell, I think at that point, you might want to look at an aftermarket casting with a much thicker deck.

You're going to need better than stock gaskets to hold that kind of power. Get some real gaskets on it then start chasing stud issues...etc. if they still exist.

Also maybe look into a head with a thicker deck.

At that power level, you should be looking into a block & head combo with six bolt heads as well as some special prep & O-ringed gaskets.

^ That would be ideal but maybe look into a LSA top end for that 370. Could probably just about break even after selling the Stage 2.5 243's and Intake and getting some CNC LSAs and equivalent intake depending on what your running.

If you're popping headgaskets with just 5 PSI, you've got issues. Who built the motor and who is tuning it?

I think what they're saying is, you have a mechanical problem within the head | gasket | block area. Like wrong surface RA, head | block surfaces not level, gasket not right, incorrect torque values, etc.
