236/242 lobed XER cam will be just under 600 lift, and sound pretty throaty. I like mine, and it works good with beehives

Are you going to stay N/A? If so I would do the following:

1) Throw in the proven 230/234 spinmonster grind
2) Mill your l92 heads .030 and put on .040 cometics.

That will give you a huge boost in power.

If you're not gonna mill the heads to boost compression you're gonna want to stick with a much smaller cam than 236/242. That cam will need higher compression to perform. If you run something that size it'll make nice peak numbers but have no ***** or throttle response down low. I am building a 6.0L/L92 heads/LS3 intake with a G5x3 cam (234/242). With the stock lq4 pistons I was afraid it wouldn't perform worth a crap so I milled the heads 0.020"...then got lucky and founs some stock LS2 flat tops to use. Should do pretty well...but with low compression you're gonna want a much smaller cam.

So you're getting a new cam just for the sound?

Well I would like to change it for some choppy sound so I guess yes but don't want to to kill the performance that the car has now too bad. I know it sounds bad but this isn't going to be a race car its a clean street car and I know once I can get blower setup it will be a nasty monster . I am just asking if people have lower compression what are some good cams that have a lower lobe seperation that works with low compression
