Default exhaust flame

It a 99 z28 ls1 stock botom end stock heads. Ls6 intake, ms4 cam shaft with all supports . LT. And a bourla cat back . Efi tuned 400 whp. On 93 octane fuel. Well I just finished this build . I had a friend driving it . While I was standing out watching the fifth gear pass . Soon he slowed down. I saw flame out of the exhaust . Then followed by bk fires and the flame extinguished . Now the view was amazing at night but I was wondering if thats normal or could it harm my o2's.

As long as the tail pipe sticks out a hair past the rear bumper you'll be fine...if not you might get some small burn marks on it.

I love it when they four out a small flame...I had a worked up 96 gsxr one time that would throw a 2-3 foot flame out the exhaust when you blipped the throttle...I miss that bike...the best time I could get on it was 10.01 @ 137mph with out it flipping back up on me lol

will backfire if you have a straight through type of muffler. I occasionally get a small backfire on my 2004 GTP that has straight through mufflers.
