No hood yet. VFN is making my C-5 style cowl hood.

Two 45 degree elbows and carb hat all from Pepboys. I only gained 2hp by removing the elbows and carb hat on the dyno.......

This makes me want to build a budget LQ9 with this intake/TB setup, new custom cam and re-use my Advanced Induction Dart/RHS heads. I think 500 rwph could be acheived with the right setup and compression. Somewhere around 12:5.1 would be nice, but not sure if pump gas 93 would work. I'm itching to do something big this fall/winter.

Can you run this setup without a filter, or is that asking for trouble?
