I had the same dilemma.
If you go TFS 220, go with Brian Tooley. He will hand port them, mill them, add the PM guides for stock rockers, and add the turn-down hollow-stem LS3 valves. It comes in around $2200 and is every bit as good as the TFS 215s. You get a little more clearance with those heads vs the TEA 243s.
The TEA heads with the same options and new 243s comes in around $2000-2100. If you have 243s, it's more like $1500-1600. You do lose the clearance.
I plan to flycut and went with the 243s. They are VERY good. You'd be hard pressed to find a head that will make the car faster. Dyno they might be down a few HP to some of the aftermarket heads. But they are proven to go fast.

Yea I been talking to both mike and tooley I've seen the tfs 220 put out good dyno number and with the same size cam the tea ls6 heads getting the same hp,but its so many ls6 headed cars posting very good track numbers.i don't have cores but I don't have a problem buying a set off ebay, the tea ls6 has really proven itself but don't want to jump the gun if the tfs220 will show a better track time

as mentioned above ^^^^.the ls6 GM casting head with powder metal guides allow the use of stock GM rocker arms .the trick flow heads are 13.5 * heads with better valve angles and bigger valves .

Is this really a topic? If you can justify spending 1500 to 2000 dollars on cylinder heads get an aftermarket casting its a no brainer. If you were truly on some type of budget do a set of 241 heads that are already on the car. They are more than capable of making good power.
