Help Identify Connecting Rods

I am looking for some help identifying my connecting rods, I bought a short block with a crank, rods, and forged pistons all balanced. However I can not find any makings on the rods to identify them. They look similar to probe or RPM forged replacement rods and after calling both companies I got know were. They do have arp hardware. I also don't know the direction they install or the torque specs on the bolts

What engine was this?

I'd guess they are Eagle or Scat, but those don't even look like they are for an LS engine.

Those rod bolts have enormous heads on them. What the hell.

Those are nuts. The head of the bolt is actually in the rod side. The older SBC/SBF stock rods are all like this. The LS1 technically uses capscrews, not bolts.

they are for an LS1 I was told buy the person I bought it from he believed they were scat but, these are what I was found that look similar http://www.probeindustries.com/Probe...th_p/11662.htm

They ain't Scat or Eagle for sure. They do look like the Probes you referenced. 5140 steel, same as the old factory stuff. Should be fine - depending on how hard you intend to work 'em.

Those rods aren't LS1. They're old style SBC, which the ones in the pic look like too. Here is a picture of Probe LS1 rods and they use bolts. All LS1 rods that I found pictures of used rod bolts, not studs and nuts.
