Default aftermarket heads and stock rockers??

Been looking for info on what aftermarket heads can run my stock upgraded rockers..
So far the only ones I know of that do are the AFR heads..
And being that AFR heads are a little on the high side as far as $$$ goes, Why not look into PRC heads? I'm thinking like a 225cc head with a 62cc combustion chamber would do nicely, Hell I might even mill it down to 58cc or 60cc with a comectic .040 gasket.

I was really considering running the 232cc AI 243/799 head but I want to eventually spray a 200 shot on this 370ci and I'm worried I could hurt the heads by lifting or something.

Any tips or can someone point me in the right direction? Maybe recommend a bigger CC head? Martin@tick already has another cam for me to try when I do the head swap (235/246 61X 59X) on the same 113+3 LSA

I'm getting my 80e built as we speak and I will be changing Stall converters to a 4k stall as well

Going to an FI setup wasn't in the cards this year so I'll just do all these mods instead

You can get PRC or TFS just make sure they have powdered metal guides.

I thought the TFS heads change the valvetrain geometry?

As far as I know they can be run as long as you got powdered metal guides. I may be wrong though..

Are these heads stock castings worked over? Have you ran them with nitrous?

How ever TSP do them! No nitrous yet but I can if I could afford it without issues.

If you want aftermarket and not kill your pocket book, PRC would be the way to go and they can be ran with stock rockers. My brother has a set of their 285's on his C6 Z06 and they perform great. I was planning on running TFS as cast 220's on my car before I decided to put it up for sale.

The stage 2.5 5.3 head is a stock casting head. Its one of the best bang for the buck heads out there imo. The downside is that GM quit making those heads and we finally just ran out of our stock. So as of now we no longer offer that head unless you send in a 5.3 head for us to port.

If you want a head that would work great now, work with the stock rockers, not break the bank, and still be a good head if you go with boost later I'd really look into the as-cast 225. They are 1800.00 for a fully assembled head with .650 springs. Also all of our as-casts come hand blended unlike alot of others.

I have stock casting 317's off my original engine for when i go boost, if I ever get to that point but another main concern is milling the 225 head.

I see they are 62cc, how far down would I be able to bring them down before I ran into problems with my -4cc reliefs in my mahle pistons? I'm asking because I read that the valve angle is different.

Thanks for replying to my earlier question btw.
