Default Best Oil Pump?

Melling M295? Stock GM? Ported LS6?

I am putting this on my 5.3L that will eventually see about 7psi from a procharger, but won't ever see serious abuse. I do want this engine to last for quite awhile once it is put into the truck. Any recommendations as to which oil pump to go with?

I bought a tick performance ported ls 6 pump. I saw a nice bump in pressure. Cant go wrong with it. Im not using it on a boosted application though so you might wanna see what the boosted guys say.

Which o-ring did you use with the Tick pump?

Now that I think about it I have installed two of these. One on my ls1 and one on a 6.0 I install in a trans am. I like them and so far have had good luck with them so ill keep using them.

Was it included with the pump itself?

Most of the time they come with it from whoever ported it. I got a MAMO ported pump and it came with the blue o-ring.

I like the Melling stuff, but I think any of those pumps would be fine.

Purchased a Melling 10295. Seems to be the best unit for my application. Thanks everyone!

With the Melling, make sure you clean it out. There can be trash in there that will ruin the pump if not cleaned out. Just take it apart, wipe it down, and put it back together before running it.

Will do, thank you. Is there a torque spec for the cover bolts?

I think Melling provides. I know GM specs, but don't have the Melling handy.
