Default stock 300rwhp 4.8L vortec

I thought I would share this with everyone. I just put a stock 4.8L in my 2001 camaro as a cheap boost engine like everyone else is doing these days. It has an electric water pump, ls6 intake, 80lb injectors, ported and epoxied 78mm TB and stock camaro manifolds. It made 300.05 hp and 314 tq after about a week of fine tuning. It actually liked an A/F around 11 to 1. This was through a stock t56 and a 9inch with 35 splines and a wavetrack diff. I couldn't find much info on setting up the ifr tables with these big injectors so I had to wing it. I have a 76mm precision going on this soon. If anyone actually comments on this I'll post the graph.

That's quite the happy dyno. Most LS1s dyno just over 300 and they have more displacement and compression.

op my guess would be what ever is reading your a/f needs to be calibrated.

Good job though and interesting results. I bet with a set of headers, a fast intake and more tuning that little engine would get to about 325whp. Probably a little more.

It's not the dyno. I have put several other stock ls1 cars on it and the most I have seen was 322 hp. And as far as the A/F goes I tried 12.5 to 13 to 1 and it makes more power at 11. Idk why. It's the same bosch sensor I use on every car that gets tuned here. Every can before and after mine reads how it should so I really don't think that's it. I just put it on the bottle yesterdy. I'll upload the dyno graphs as soon as I get to my shop.

And I know it's not 100% stock but it is a stock long block.

Here's my graph on motor and on a .56 pill. No tuning was done on spray. I just put it through the MAF to see what it would do.[IMG][/IMG]
