Default Ls1 tear down, need help. Any ideas

PLEASE read all before response: So was in the middle of tearing apart my ls1. It's from a car I've had for about 8 months. The car has sat on and off for around 2 years. I changed the oil in it provably 10 miles ago, but 4 months ago. Strong motor, never overheated only 105,000 on it. Anyways today took off valve covers all looked good. Took off heads, cylinders were dry and none of them looked to be shiny or cleaner than the others. Just typical of a used engine. Well took front timing cover off to replace chain and I could see down in the oil pan was all light colored brown, like water had been mixed. So I drained it and the outcome was scary. I can't figure out how this could have happened. The car hasn't had any issues. None of the obvious signs of a blown head gasket are there. Plugs clean, cylinders dry and light black from carbon. Only place I can't tell had moisture is the back of the timing cover and the back side of the throttle body. The car does have a fnpk kit and we did have a good six inches of snow lately, but car wasn't driven in it, and the hood even though was popped, it wasn't opened. Please share any input with what this could have been. Also since it's still light brown and not mixed, milky, or thick, how much should I clean it. Just flush clean oil through it and continue to drain after dropping pan, or should I go further. Thanks guys

Moisture is common to build up in engines, it's one of the reasons we warm them up to temp to burn off all the water vapor..

But how much is too much, well you already removed the heads so you can't do a leak down test...

Got any pics of it?

Looks like coolant may have ended up in there somehow.

That's how my LS1 blew up, let it sit outside during a snow day.. SOMETHING happened and when I went to start it up, kaboom sounded like metal was banging all over the place.

Check your oil windage and head gaskets for leaks

I know it's hard to tell from the pic, but the oil honestly looks horrible. The top was nearly chocolate milk looking. Just not all thick and mixed yet. It's not just a normal amount of moisture in a few places. There is obviously a lot of water in the oil. It was even fuller than it should have been at least by a quart. Just don't understand where the leak is from. Honestly scared maybe when it got down to 0 degrees a few nights in a row something may have cracked. But car ran fine when moved into the garage about 3 weeks ago

Yes it is an fbody. Thanks so much for that link. That gives me hope. Like I said we must have had 6 inches of snow 2 or 3 times plus plenty of heavy rains. And several of those we're with the hood popped but not up. So i think I'll have the block looked at, and if alls good, throw some bearings at it and finish my build. Thanks guys

Looks like normal condensation build up to me. In any weather below 45f you will have it. In 4 months it can build up a lot of moisture.

i've heard of f-bodies leaking at the cowl down the back of the intake and filling up the knock sensor wells. kind of a well known issue of you google it.
