Default Stupid freaking engine started knocking

Ignore the gross rat's nest of wiring.
I was in the process of rewiring/tucking the wires. Hooked everything up to drive the car around the block & see if I fixed my clutch problem. Pushed in clutch & brake in second gear coming to a stop sign (maybe 20mph) & it started knocking.

2005 5.3, 18k miles, open longtube headers. There are no loose rockers, the valvetrain moves as it should at idle so I didn't pull the pushrods to check them. It doesn't sound like any rod/bearing knock I've ever heard & I've heard a lot. But I don't know. Can't pinpoint a location. It sounds like it's coming from everywhere - even with a stethoscope.
Any guesses before I have to buy an engine hoist to pull this stupid junk out? I'm frustrated...

Maybe cut the oil filter and see if there is any metal shavings. Does it seem louder on top or down underneath?

I haven't got underneath it yet. No garage & it's been raining for 4 days. But it seems equally loud from both sides & front of the car from the top. Both by ear & with my stethoscope.

I'm going to drain the oil tomorrow & pull the filter if it stops raining for long enough.

We are way passed a blaming game here, and don't have enough information to base an assumption on anyway (other than it sounds like sh*t). First question that pops up as a need to know question is what is or was the oil pressure? The second thing I'd do (though it may be too late) is to turn the key OFF and leave it that way until you KNOW what the problem is. Third. Get under the car and drain the oil into a CLEAN container. Assuming the oil is new, does it look a pretty metalflake? Once you do this, chime back in!

Can't see the video for some reason but since the sound seems to be coming from all over check your flywheel bolts.

Oil pressure is/was around 35-40. It hasn't changed.
Drained the oil today. It looked very clean. Didn't see any metal. I can't check the flywheel bolts without pulling the engine/trans.

Put a borescope into each cylinder through the spark plug holes & everything looked ok.

I'm at a loss here...

I'd be happy with that so I don't have to pull the engine. But the rockers aren't loose. And I don't know any other way to check them without pulling the heads. And I'm tired of buying head gaskets.

I checked all the bolts and they're still torqued down.
