Default getting vrx4 installed at vengeance racing.

been saving for a while and finally pulled trigger on cam install. taking my 2000 ss there on sat. doing cam kit plus package w/ the vrx4. there shop looks very nice and everyone i have delt w/ has been very professional. ill update the thread as we go just excited about the process always wanted a cam.

dropped off saturday, picked it up friday. wow totally different car now. dynojet baseline with fast 90, nw 92tb, headers, frost tune 339hp. installed vrx4, 36lb inj and dyno tune now 402hp. sounds amazing, pulls hard awesome. vengeance was great, no complaints, professional, kept me informed throughout the build. great job. ill try and get a video up this week. cant stop smiling.

That would be a pretty good combo. A local guy has that same cam and the TFS as cast heads and put down 440 through a LS6 intake.

heads would be nice but reality is more like clutch (stock) or rearend first.

Absolutely do not buy a stock clutch. Get an LS7 at least if money is tight. If you race the car I'd go aftermarket. The stock style clutches do not like a lot of abuse. If you need a stronger rear end, you need a stronger clutch.

I'd opt for a Monster clutch if I were you. Great clutch, stock like pedal feel, and the stage 3 is good for 700 rwtq.

I love my VRX4!!! i recently added TFS 215's, 102/102 and made 478 rwhp (locked) through a stalled auto!!!! my problem now is traction

I dont know about stock like pedal feel on their stage 3.

Sounds like a stout motor, any action vids?

As far as clutches go, I can't comment on the monster series, as I have never driven one, but I am very happy with my Spec stage 3. I never had a stock clutch, so, hard to compare, but it's definitely got all the bite you'll need and won't kill your leg.

Yes I have had two with a Tick master. I think they are great clutches but mine had a extremely heavy pedal pressure.
