Frankenstine??? need some info hey guys i been away for a while and im back in the ls world building something for a friend. im looking at the 5.3 motor the guy is telling me it has a zl1 cam in it is this possible ?? im looking in to spraying the daylight out of it. has arp bolts on the bottom its a carbed motor... need some info asap going in to an s10 150 shot to test waters then going up on the juice. thanks in advanced ...

Yes it's possible, but the ZL1 (LSA) cam does not have a rear cam sync so it would have to have the cam sensor in the front cover to work. The older Gen III blocks had the cam sensor in the rear of the block next to the oil pressure sending unit, the newer Gen IV blocks all have the cam sensor on the front cover and pick up signal off of the cam gear.
