FWIW I hit almost 400 uncorrected on a dynojet with the streetsweeper HT and stock heads in a stalled/gear auto, which is cool and all if I wanted to brag, but I was never concerned about hitting a specific number more than how the car will drive. I wouldnt pick a heads/cam combo based on a HP number, but rather how you plan on using the car and where the power will be usable.

We have made 420 without touching stock 241s on an easy driving cam. Itwas on an m6 with 10bolt 02ta. It had catless pace setters as well. Leave your exhaust alone. Cam only you can do it and still stay driveable.
It had smooth bellow and lid already. You can very well beat that with a set of aftermarket or cnc stock heads. At least a set of 241 or 243 heads will get you there.

Let us know if we can help you exceede your goals!

I made 420+ to the wheels easily with an LS6 intake - Search and you will find many people making a lot of power with an LS6 intake. But you will make more with hp with a fast so I would go with a FAST since you are going from an LS1 intake.

My cam is very similar to a 224 shelf cam. Good luck and 400 is easy to make with the supporting mods.

Your 241 heads make alot of difference over the 98 perimeter bolt crap heads.

I feel that with good springs our Stage 1 cam would go 30-40k easily. The exhaust lobe is very mild.

I'm definitely open to an aftermarket set of heads. One other thing? How much do shops normally charge to install these things? I'm guessing in the 1-2k range.
