Thanks guys! It pulls hard that's for sure. I'm looking to do 243 heads in the near future. What injectors would work well with my set up. My injectors are maxed out, 95% cycle duty.

36 lb. Bosch for $299.99 would be a good choice.

Bosch GTP injectors, I run them in my LS6 to 6600 RPM, next year to 7200RPM. $80 in the classifieds.

If the machine shop mills my 243 heads, do I need to worry about PTV clearance? Do I need thicker gaskets?
If you have any other advice for swapping heads, please LMK thanks!

Cam specs are 228/228 .588/.588 114lsa

Don't let them mill more than .015" - .020" and you should have enough PTV clearance for a 228R. Stock LS1 MLS gaskets will be fine.

We mill more and have enough clearance with our ported heads, but we sink valves to gain extra clearance. We can mill as much as .035" off and still clear a 228R.

I have all exact setup but with 243 heads and 228r on a 112lsa and mine put down 406 at the wheels. So everyone wants to know how much the 243 heads can add so there ya go. Mine TA is a 6-speed as well.

Heads are here!! Look clean but must have been sitting since the valves hsve a bit of surface rust. Should I replace them? Or do they clean up fine?

Ok ran for the first time on the track since my Dyno tune. I gained about 40 rwhp and 60 tq.
So i only got 1 run in which could explain my bad time. I turned a 13.1 @ 108. 2.0 60ft. Got a bad launch but I figured I'd trap better or pick up the time down the track. I launch at 2000 rpms. I have drag radials I heated up but I feel there's was water still on them and I may not have burned out of the water box. Just trying to figure this out. DA was around 1000ft. I want to go again next Friday and aim for a much better ET but just seeing if I can get some tips.

I feel I could have done better but my buddies new 15 mustang gt couldnt pull under a 13.2. So right off the bat getting a 13.1 makes me feel a little better.

no way? with the stock stall?? would be really cool if i could put off the tune a bit as im doing the same as the op.

Just to update. I got the 243s at the machine shop. Getting a valve job and decked. I'm currently looking into options for injectors. Trying to find some inexpensive GTP 36lb injectors.

Then the plan is to get back on the Dyno and see what happens!

Updating this threads. The 243 head swap was a success! Got the GTP injectors on as well working great. I got my aem wideband in and we dialed in the AFR to around 12.5-12.8. It pulls on my buddy's 360rwhp Camaro very easily. Also I just got a nitrous outlet plate kit I have installed and I'm getting ready to get a Dyno tune with a 100 shot.
