My buddy says it dont but I want to make sure.

I have the hot cam and I got a 32hp and 24tq increase over stock and no tune runs great!

Mine did,picked up 18 HP with a tune and drives almost stockish ie no hot/cold start or stalling problems.

Just like with any major mod - will the piece run and get gains without tuning? - Yes. Will you take full advantage of the mod without a tune? Probably not.

These are all M6 cars that don't require a tune, right?

I'd bet the farm that a A4 would probably need one...

i didn't have a tune when i used to run it, m6 car.

would i have picked up some more power? yeah, i just never felt like getting it tuned.

my MN6 car picked up about 12 rwhp and the same tq with a dyno tune. it was mainly up top. not very necessary IMO performance wise. on an auto, it needs lots of driveability tuning.
